The only time I've ever heard of "bad accounts" is if

1) The person was sending out a lot of RWAP books

or

2) They didn't respond to a couple request and let them time out

if neither of these are the case for you, there may be a glitch in the system. Either way you should contact TPTB. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen. In the Company section there is a Contact Us link. Good luck :)

A lot of the books I marked as sent weren't getting there....though that is mostly because I was on meds that were causing me to lose things and forget. So I had been buying creidts, probably sent at lest 100 dollars on it. I found that my account wasn't allowed to do instant credits, after my dad who just heard about PBS through a co-worker tried to sign up, and  they wouldn't let him because I had a "bad account. But because I KNEW i couldn't send books out, I wasn't doing it. I always marked my recieved books as read.

You need to contact the PBS team and find out what happened:  Contact Us - choose "Leave Feedback"

I'm confused by this sentence. Did you decline the orders or did you mark them as mailed and then not mail them? Either way, both of them could get your account suspend. Your allowed to mark a couple books "can not mail", because the site understands that things happen. Sometimes you just can't find the book or it's not in the shape you thought it was when you posted it. But if the site saw it as you were making a habit of it, that might be why they gave you a bad account message.

I found that my account wasn't allowed to do instant credits, after my dad who just heard about PBS through a co-worker tried to sign up, and  they wouldn't let him because I had a "bad account.

I've never heard of them not letting anybody do instant credits. This one stumps me. I'm guessing you and your dad live together? If he has the same address as a bad account, they might not let him open an account because of it.

But because I KNEW i couldn't send books out, I wasn't doing it. I always marked my recieved books as read.

Did you put your account on vacation hold? If you aren't able to mail out books this is what you're supposed to do. That way your account is still active, but other members can't order anything from you. I'm not 100% sure on this last sentence, but I'm pretty sure you can still be offered books off your WL even if your account is on vaca hold.

Jolene - if your account is not in good standing with PBS, they will not allow you to obtain instant credit or quick credit using PBS Postage or PBS-DC.

It sounds to me like a high # of books beingmarked  sent but not being mailed and goign lost caused you to get closed.  This is osmething PBS frounds abound.  If you can't mail books out you need to either delete your bookshelf or go on vacation. You can autorequest your WL books and still order posted books and buy credits. Assuming they let you at this point.

Are you able to send books out now? You have books offered on your book shelf , and I love Dear America Books. How could I depend on you to send it if I ordered it? Kinda scary ain't it?

* I'm sorry Abby . I hope you stay well. I keep a wish list in a small notebook; just in case I find myself at a yardsale or used book store. Especially books in a series that I want to fill in. Sometimes  use that notebook to write down titles of new books that I am willing to wait for. You should be able to recreate your wish list.

Well---they gave me a second chance, since they have given me a second chance i have sent out ALL the books that have been requested of me. or when I was sick, I would put it on vacation hold. I have used vacation hold in the past. Sometimes just for a few days. I had my account closed for a very long time, and they then they let me open it again...I just don't understand why my wish list was gone, when most recently I have been sending out all requests.

If you sent out requests after they ahve been cancelled by the system-you might not get credit for them. If they were WL boosk then and not marked mailed then those people went back on the WL at #1 and if it's been postged again they  may have already received a copy. For non-WL books, the system would have automactically reordered the next copy when you didn't mark yours mailed.  If you marked them mailed but didn't mail them until after they went lost-these people do not have to mark the books received.  They may already have reordered the book from someone else-especially if they looked at your profice and saw that the account is closed.
