I had a book on my WL. I became #1 on the list, the book was offered to me, and I accepted. Then, a couple days later, the person who posted it to me canceled the book request.  Now, Im back in the WL line @ #3. Why am I not back to #1? I know #3 does not sound bad, but it has been a very slow moving WL book, so it took quite a long time to get the book posted to me.  Thanks

it is possible that people had their account on hold which is why you were at #1 and now they are off of vacation hold

or others had books offered to them and there was a problem or it wasn't received so they are ahead of you

you gotta give us time to reply!  10 min isn't anything!  LOL

The 2 before you could also have had requestor's conditions that the sender turned down.  And you need to give people time to respond to posts.

Each book on your wish list has a Wish Date. Check that date. If yours is correct, then don't worry about whether you're #1 or #3. The book is being offered to members in the order that they wished for the book. For whatever reason, the people who are in front of you now weren't able to get the previous copy that was posted.

OH, OK.  Well, that makes sense. I just figured since I had moved up to #1 that I would remain #1 since the person listing the book canceled the order. I dont really follow the "wish date" thing though, Cathy.  If I was offered the book, I assume that means I was next in line (by WL date) , so Im not sure why I wouldnt have remained so, but the requestor conditions or vacation hold as mentioned are probably what happened. THANKS!!! for all your replies & help. I was a little confused. Ive traded quite a few books on PBS, but I guess sometimes instead of getting all worked up over not being next for the book anymore, I need to take time & really think about why that might be the case LOL :) (and give you guys time to respond)
