Know what I want? Yes, it has to do with the wish list/reminder list wish-reminder list. (And I couldn't care less if they change it or not. I'm new enough to not have a 'system' yet, so bring it on.)

But, I really really want to organize my list(s) into folders. I want a folder for things I want for my preschoolers, one for my older kid, one for our history studies, one for my personal enjoyment books (fiction, mysteries, whatever), one for Bible study stuff, one for books I collect. I want to separate my list so I can look at JUST stuff for history, or JUST stuff for my preschoolers, or JUST Bible study -- or just books for my mom, who has favorite authors. Or whatever.

WITHOUT having to go through and change what's on hold and what's not. :D

I wish. :)

Hey, can't hurt to put in a suggestion to R & R.  Doesn't seem like a bad idea to me!

It actually sounds like a good idea... it wouldn't hurt to send in the suggestion DaLynn!

Tags could be used for this.

I have books on my WL for both myself and my son.  So a folder for each would be nice, especially if I could, when the new WL is implemented, rate the books in each folder seperately.  As it stands I will need to make a choice; rate my books, and lose my son's, or rate his, and lose mine.  Good idea.  Don't see it happening, but it's good.

That is the purpose for the new Tags - for you to organize your books by categories.  Then just search on your Tag label and it will bring up all books with that tag.  If you use very personal ones, like DaLynn's Preschool, only your books will come up.  If you use a general Tag, like Preschool, you will see all other books tagged with this tag, even those tagged by others, but that isn't necessarily bad, it might give you more ideas to work with for your folder purpose.

But, if you want to limit it only to your books, just make the tag a very personal one that no one else is likely to use.

Yep, and do a search by clicking on the tag.  Great idea!

I do this with my books on Library Thing and am starting to do it here, with the tags. My WL items on LT are sln-wl and his are mgn-wl, same with tbr, they are sln-trb & mgn-tbr. Pulls them up instantly!
