I was wondering if the wishes granted last week indicated people who didn't accept or if a book rolled through several people. So let's say that I see 8 wishes granted last week, does that mean 8 people accepted the book or could it have rolled through 7 people and the 8th accepts it I see 8 wishes granted last week?

Just curious...

Wishes granted = books posted.

Is that for sure? I think it might be rollovers too. Those are wishes granted.

I think Sara is right...that includes how many people were offered the book last week, so if it says 4, for example, it could be 3 or 4 offers timed out, not 4 separate offers.

no, I think it's the number of books that came into the system with that ISBN so not number of wishers it's gone through.

From a programming point of view, it's easier to just count "wishes granted" than it is to count "wishes granted" and then figure out if all those wishes are the same copy of a book or not. That's what makes me think it is just all "wishes granted".

Plus it counts them whether or not the book is actually mailed, or whether or not the book is actually received.

I've definitely seen it count a case where the book that had not been released was posted by mistake when the sender was trying to add it to her wish list. She cancelled the request and sent me a PM explaining what happened, I went back to #1 on the WL and the Wishes Granted Last Week counter showed 1. After a week, that disappeared and Last Posted said N/A again.

When 2 wishes were granted last week my estimate was reduced by half.  I don't rely on the estimate. It just means someone posted a book last week, so maybe a copy of the book will be posted every week until all the wishes are granted.  The Estimate is a like a fortune teller that cannot see into the future.

When a wish is granted the estimate shows  1 week per wl position = Estimate: 7 wks

The 2nd wish was Posted: 4/26/2015 10:38 AM ET.  It showed 2 wishes granted last week, my position was 6 with Estimate: 3 wks
