On the wish - this book is missin the ISBN and there are 53 members wishing.  I have posted this book.  Since there can be variations to the ISBN, how does this get updated.

Wishing for a 5 digit ISBN like that won't do those members any good - that means that someone had a copy without the 10 or 13 digit ISBN, like you have.  That 5 digit number was assigned specificailly to the copy of that book that someone else posted without the ISBN.

To post yours, you would need to post it without the ISBN too (if you're not sure how, just search the Help Center for 'How do I post a book without an ISBN?'), and then you could try posting in the Book Bazaar to let people know you have a copy available.

It is the reverse - My book has the ISBN.  The 53 members waiting do not have an ISBN.  I attached the way it is currently listed

Oh, I see!  In that case, I searched by the title, and it looks like there are several copies of some version of the book available already - who knows why that many people are still on that wish ilst!  I would just go ahead and post your copy with the ISBN.

What ISBN number does YOUR book have? If it matches binding and all that, you can make a tag. If someone with that book on their wishlist sees the tag, they can then search the other ISBN to order the book. (When I make a tag like this, I periodically check to see if it is still needed and when my book is ordered, or no one else is wishing for it, I delete the tag.)

I have done an example on the book you provided. http://www.paperbackswap.com/book/details/82703-Youve+Been+Warned

Hmm that is odd that people would be WLing a mmp of a book that's available in the system.  Maybe it's a collector's edition for some reason.  Uusally if a book is availabe in some format and there's a WL it's for hardback or audio because that what people specifically want.  Maybe that mmp w/the that cover is harder to find.  Who knows.

Well there's 62 copies of your version already posted. So for some reason those people really want that edition-probably collecting the cover series.  So I wouldn't hold my breath for a quick order. But you never now.  Most of those people are probably getting emails telling them that the book is available and they'll order the dif version if they want it.  But really books aren't supposed to be reposted w/the 5 digit PBS ISBN. So they'll be waiting a long time for that one.  Since when it does get posted it'll most likely be posted w/a new 5 digit PBS #.

Don't post yours to the WL and then send it out. Cover pictures don't have to match but ISBN's do. If someone is wishing for that specific cover and gets yours and notices the ISBN is different-they'll mark it RWP and you technically owe them a credit because the # doesn't match.

I don't think a lot of people realize that those 5 digit ISBN are only for one time use.  I know I was putting them on my WL when I first joined.  I removed them when I figured that out. Now I'll put them on my RL if they're not available on PBS. But that's more to remind me to keep an eye out for them at UBS.
