If that makes any sense.  I have a book on my shelf that is wishlisted in every available type (hard cover, paperback & audio) yet the copy on my bookshelf doesn't show it's a wishlisted item???

OK, looking further- I have 3 of a series & all are wishlisted in every format (except 1 version of the 1st book) & none are showing a W on my shelf or are being requested from me.  Weird...

It probably has a different ISBN number.

I thought that may be what it was also but then every single listing that comes up when I search these books titles shows a wishlist of 2-50.  If I had different ISBN's wouldn't there be another listing that would cover my books ISBN's that don't have wishlists then?

I'm not sure. It may just be that your book has a different ISBN number that people haven't marked for Wish Lists. Could be anything really.

Did you just list them? If so they may be in 1 hr hold. Auto-request doesn't show up in the WL hold tab. Look for the gray (!) to the right of the book on your shelf.

eta: The only series books I can see on your shelf are the Graftons and one Patterson that are all available in the system as paperbacks.

OK please excuse me I'm a dummy *hiding*  I had somehow changed the filter on my search to show only waitlisted items *oops*.  Now that I've figured that out I can find all the listings & I just don't have the "right" ISBN's I guess.

Oh & the books I'm talking about are Dean Koontz's Odd Thomas series (most of which are wish listed, further confusing me by the large amount of listings for 4 titles).

I would put them on my reminder list to see if any other of my versions were posted in PBS.  If there's a bunch of my ISBN then I'd assume for some reason people just don't want these.  Some people want specific covers.  If there weren't others posted than I'd tag the WL versions w/something this "posted under ISBN". I did this once w/a book I had.  There were 2 ISBN's in PBS.  One had a long WL and the other had 1 posted already.  Which was the same ISBN as mine of course.  They were identical but for the ISBN#-the cover, binding everything match but ISBN.  So I tagged the WL one "posted under ISBN#".  My book was ordered really fast so I'm assuming the other one was ordered first.

You can also post them in the book bazaar.

Odd. I just posted 4 wish listed hardcovers (an hour ago) and they aren't showing up even as wish list holds. one Tolkien has 179 people waiting! Yes, they're the correct ISBNs and even the same covers. Is there a delay?

There's always a one-hour "buyer's remorse" delay.  What's the ISBN?
