On my short wishlist (27listed which includes multiple versions of several books),  some of the books say "x sent last week. estimate y weeks", but others have the " x sent last week", but no estimate.  What's up with that?

This is just a guess, but I think the "estimate" algorithm takes into account not just the past week, but how often the book has been posted in the last <however many weeks>.

If the book has been posted in the last <however long>, then it will give an estimate for a book that has <x copies sent last week>, estimate = position on line / x

If the book hasn't been posted often, it doesn't give an estimate.

I also have a question: Anyone know why sometimes it says "Last posted" and sometimes "Wishes granted last week"? I am wondering if it has to do with whether the pook was posted to FIFO or directly to another member.

Your position: 39 of 535 - Last Posted: 10/06/2010 - Estimate: N/A

Your position: 6 of 156 - Wishes granted last week: 1 - Estimate: 6 weeks question.gif

The last posted is the date that 1 wish was granted last week.  If more than 1 wish had been granted in a week, the date would have been the date the last one was posted.

I think an infrequently posted book will have the last posted date while a book that has wishes granted more frequently will so the # posted in the last 7 days even if its only 1.
