question: if there is a waiting list for a book and you have previously added that book to your w/l -- how do you know after a couple of weeks where on the chain you are -- also if you forget that you have already added it to your w/l and add it again would you lose your superior position to a more inferior -- thx for the help

There is a little grey ! for each wish, hover your mouse over it and it will tell you what # you are in line.  And yes if you are already waiting, an try to wish again you go to the end of the line.  I find it helpful if I am unsure to add the book to my reminder list first then double check my WL before adding it there.

I don't think if you re-wish you go to the back of the line. You didn't used to at least.

If you add it to your RL it will pull it off your WL, and if you the put it back on your WL you go to the back of the line.

if you put accidentally wish for the same book with the same isbn # that is already on your wish list you do not go to the end of the line. The only way you would go the end of the line would be if you were to add the same title but different isbn #, and then that would be a whole new line and it would be listed 2 times on your wish list.

If you WL a book already on your WL you do not go to the end of the line (I've tested this in the past), if you add it to your Reminder List you will lose you place in the WL line (seen complaints about this in the past).

If you already have a book on your wish list, it will show up when you pull up the book.

Here is a link to one of the books on your wish list.  When you click on it, you should see a notation under the title/author information that it is, indeed, on your wish list.

It says under the book title now if a book is on your WL, RL or TBR pile.  It might only say it on the book review page though.
