I'm sure this has come up before, but if you have a wishlist offer, I see it removes the book from your wishlist.  Suppose you have 200 books on your WL, and get one offered, so youre down to 199.  You immediately add another book to the WL and bring it back to 200...then the sender cancels the request for whatever reason.  Do you now have 201 books on your WL, or does the wish just go away?

I've had this happen, and the answer is 201 books on your wishlist.   I have books on my reminder list ready to move right onto the wishlist.  And I'm pretty quick at pulling the trigger, too.

So there have been a couple of times where I've had 201 books on my WL.

Thanks.  I can't remember seeing 201 on my WL, but I usually do keep my list "topped off" at 200 as well, and I have had orders fall through after a WL book was offered, so I was curious.

It would go to your Reminder List sadly.

I don't know about that Erin - I've had it go right back to my wishlist, increasing the number of WL books to 201.  I've had this happen at least three times in the last month or so.

If your request for a Wish List book does not get accepted or responded to within the 5 day period of time, either your request goes to the next member that has a copy of the book, or it will go back on your wish list and you will retain your #1 place in line.  If you cancel your request that is a different matter altogether.

Wishlist books only go to your reminder list if you don't accept them. If you accept and the sender cancels then the book will go back on your wishlist and you will be in the #1 spot whether you have 200 books on your wishlist or not.

I am so glad that someone asked this question. I have also wondered about this because my wishlist is getting pretty full.

I think it will let you go to 201 if a WL book times out, goes lost or is received RWP. You would not be able to add another book to your WL until you had 2 WL offers that you accepted.

I was wondering about this earlier, when I checked out someone's wishlist and he had 203 books on it.  I was so excited that maybe they took off the 200 limit.  ;)

Terri is correct, it goes back to your WL, it does not go to your Reminder List. Your max WL number will increase to account for this, I think I saw a WL at 205 once.

If I remember correctly, my wishlist has gone as high as 207 for this reason.  Note that it doesn't have to be due to a wishlisted book becoming available, any request you make that is canceled is put on your wishlist (assuming no other copies available).
