Is there a way to tell how many people are waiting for a book?  I might now be wiling to wait if it months and purchase elsewhere.

Thanks

Welcome to PBS Robin!

Open your wishlist and look at one entry.

The first line is book title and author.
The second line is ISBN (both where available)
The third line is the date you wishlisted the book, your position on the wishlist (ie 2 of 4), and the next information is estimate (which could be how many were posted last week, when this book was last posted FIFO, or when the automated system estimates this book will be offered to you).  If this area is blank, not enough are being posted for the system to offer an estimate.

Information in the third line can help you decide if you want to wait for the book Robon, or buy one somewhere cool

If you have not added the book to your WL yet but are looking at the book info page, you will see "Members Wishing" around the middle of the page.

Or, you can just look at the book page.  It will tell you how many people are wishing.

But - be warned, numbers can be deceptive.  Some books have several hundred people wishing, but are posted so frequently you may receive the book quite soon.  Other books with only one or two wishers may be posted so infrequently, you may potentially wait a long, long time.

If you choose to buy the book Robin, remember PBS marketplace and using the Buy from Amazon button both support PBS.  I also recently got some good deals at Thriftbooks (they offer multi book shipping discounts which Ami venders cannot).
