This book is different from her other books but worth reading. Lots of action and enjoyable characters.

One of the best books I have read in a very long time. You are drawn into all the characters, major and minor with such skill you feel connected. I very highly recommend this book to anyone who loves the unpredictable. The book makes you think about the experiences and the outcome of the experiences. It is great that the two books were made into one because you really want to know what becomes of the heroine at the end of the 1st book. Also being a cover person, I would have missed out on a truly great story if not for the more appealing front cover.

Quick read, good story line. A lot of loneliness for the main character.

A good read. I thought the first part of the story was a bit disjointed as you got to the history that led up to the main character's creation.

The main character is a bit too good to be true but hey it is a fantasy book. Would I read it again, probably not. But I was glad I did read it once.

In the age of Gods - dwarfs, centaurs, and other Elder Races roamed the lands freely and the race of Mortals was created as a mere plaything for Lord Death.
In the age of Wizards - the very earth was tortured by the power games of these immortan children of gods, til wizardry went too far, and the dragons flew to bring the wizards and the world down in flames.
In the Age of Mortals - the Elder Races have withdrawn almost completely from the world of humans.
