Based on the writing and the intensity of the previous books in the series I expected more from JM. Sadly this book came up wanting. I didn't like the way it started with Pierce on his way to meet Nicola. Everything seemed rush. I couldn't get into the story, I kept saying "what"....I couldn't absorb any detail and then prepare for the next bombshell....very irritating. Then on top of that we never find out about the kidnapping and the mothers. A very unsatisfactory ending to a series. Extremely disappointed.
