A woman has everything, a nice home, good husband, great children, and then her husband disappears. No one can find him and she is frantic, as time goes on she has to deal with many obstacles on her own, and many things happen along the way. A good Barbara Delinsky read.

Her husband abandons the family he feels overpowered by, and Laura has to come to terms with the controlling aspects of her character, and to the realization that she married the wrong man. Very intense, not for a relaxing afternoon read.
