Fans of James Patterson's Women's Mystery Club series,  Did you know there is a TV series now of these stories?

YES!!!  I've been waiting for this for months.  I've got my timer on for tomorrow night, and I've already stressed to the kids that mommy gets 1 hour of alone time or there will be hell to pay... actually, I think that's how I phrased it to my husband... anyway, I'm so excited!  I loved the books.  I just hope it's not as disappointing asall the other new shows have been so far.

Yes!  It's on here tomorrow night at 9:00 est on ABC.  I've read all of the books so far and I'm really looking forward to the show.  I wonder how they're going to do it.  I don't want any book spoilers here, but there is one question I really have (I forget which book it was in, but it's kind of a big question).  Are they going to follow how the books go?

Yup Shana. I've been thinking the same thing about one of the characters, right?

I know I have read the first 3 books, but I have no idea where they are. We have an entire shelf of JP books, but I do know that my DH didn't really like those ones. I watched the show this morning after DVRing it last night. I liked it, but I was thinking  that I had no clue anymore on how the books really went.

I've read all of Patterson's Murder Club books and couldn't wait for the tv show last night.  It was good, but they kept bringing up a former case ("kiss" something...not Kiss the Girls) and I didn't know if it was a case from one of his books or something new.

New question:  Did any of the characters look like you had them pictured in your mind???  Lindsey and Claire look pretty much like I thought they should, but the other two..I was way off base!

I was intrigued by the program last night, even though I've never read any of the books!  This morning, one of our local libraries was having a book sale, and I was able to buy the 4 Murder Club books!  As soon as I am done with them, I'll post them!

I was also wondering if the former case was another book he had written?

I was a little disappointed with the show.Especially the reporter didn't seem to be like the written character. They always change some things for tv but I wasn't impressed.

Does anyone know if it's one of the free ABC shows that you can watch online?  I missed it!

Yes, Erina.  I was wondering about one of the characters.

I enjoyed the show.  There were quite a few things that were different from the books, but nothing that changed it so much that it annoyed me.  And I'm easily annoyed these days!

I don't think the "kiss" case was one of the cases in any of the books so far.

Lynn, I just checked ABC's website, and "Women's Murder Club" is NOT listed as one of the shows you can watch online.  Sorry.  SInce it was the premiere episode they will probably rerun it sometime soon like they did with their other shows.

You CAN watch the premiere online. You have to open the ABC video player and there is an option to view ABC premiers. I know it works because that's how I was able to watch it. It was a bit tricky to find it, but it's there.

What's the first book in this series?  The only Patterson book I've ever read was Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas.  Maybe I'll check one of these out.

I thought the show was pretty good.  I watched it online today.  Looks promising.

I believe this is the order:

1st to Die (2001)

2nd Chance (2002)

3rd Degree (2004)

4th of July (2005)

The 5th Horseman (2006)

The 6th Target  (2007)

7th Heaven (due February 5, 2008)

I have the first two books available on my shelf if anyone wants them and I'll do a 2 for 1 credit.  Just order one and send me a PM for the other.

The kiss me not case is not from one of the books as the end of the episode shows that he kills again, and so I am assuming that will be a season long case they solve.

I didn't like the girl cast as Jill.  Jill was one of my favorite characters in the book but I think the actor doesn't do her ANY justice whatsoever!  I was very sad when Jill died in the books but will be happy when she's gone on the show b/c I don't like the actor.  I love Cindy and Claire.  Cindy is one of my favorite book characters.  I was a little thrown off by Lindsay having dark hair b/c in the books she is supposed to be blonde.

That's good to know Nicole.  I just watched last week's and thought it was just ok.  I didn't like the girl cast as Jill either.  I'll give it another shot this week.
