As always in an easy to understand and straight forward manner, Charles Stanley shares how to live the spirit filled life. He erases all the confusion and complications most writers add to it. A big help to the Christian who truly wants to serve God and walk with Him.

This book has made such a difference to my Christian walk!
I learned who the Holy Spirit is and what his role is in our lives. I have often wondered why some Christians seem so much happier and more content than some of us and now I know.
I learned that the fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) are not qualities that we can display by our own efforts but qualities that will shine through us from the inside as the result of the Holy Spirit's work in us. The Holy Spirit comes into our lives when we accept Christ as our Savior - he is there waiting and working behind the scene moving us closer and closer to living our "Christ-like" life...the key to living the Wonderful Spirit-Filled life is "sincerely wanting" to be more like Christ and praying for guidance/direction along with reading your Bible. When your heart is in the right place at the right - the Holy Spirit makes his presence felt.
This book describes me before reading it AND it describes me after I became aware of his presence. Jesus referred to the Holy Spirit as "the Comforter" that would be coming to us after His ascention back to heaven - and what a comfort to me he has become!! Praise be to God! I am so thankful that God continues to work through his faithful servants such as Charles Stanley, here on earth. I know I was led to find this book at just the right time in my life when it would make the biggest impact...God watches over us minute by minute ready to give us what we ask for that is in accordance with His Will - the Holy Spirit stands at the ready to go to whom ever God directs him to go to.
If you feel like there is something missing in your Christian walk...this book WILL make a difference - not only in your life but also to everyone you meet. God's Word says we Christians are to be a beacon to a dark world...after reading this brothers and sisters...LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE!!

Life abundant--Jesus promised it and we long for it, yet few Christians seem to have it. Blending lively anecdotes, commentary, and teachings from the Bible, Stanley introduces you to the Holy Spirit. He is not an oversized electrical current you just plug into when you need additional help, or a theological concept, but just as real and active as Christ. He has personality as well as a specific job description and a definite desire to be an active part of our lives.
