Does anybody else post their creative writing in the eclectic pen?  I know there was one other person who wrote a couple of short stories.  I occasionally write a few poems and have also posted the beginning of a short story, but I haven't done any new ones in a while.

If so, It would be interesting to read what other romance forum participants had written.

nope, not me.  There's not a thing eclectic about my pen -- or interesting to read.  Glad for you to have that talent.

I spend too much time reading! I took a class in creative writing once but it wsn't any good..thought I'd learn some  'tips' or 'how to do it' but all the instructr wanted was a captive audience to listen to her poetry..and that of a few favored students...

I've done it, taken the classes, blah-blah-blah.  In my case, it'd be stage fright.  It's one thing to admit you read this trashy stuff, a giant leap to fessing up to writing it , straight on down the hill to actually letting people read it.  Ack!

People are usually pretty kind with their comments and what you write is completly up to you.  It doesn't have to be "trashy" (also erotic does not necessarily equal trashy).  In fact, I had one man who pm'd me said he loved my work and asked to be notified if I posted new stuff; he even encouraged me to publish.  I'm not nearly good enough for that!  (A nice stroke for my ego though). Good way to get contstructive feedback too.  I had some tense problems with a short story I did and corrected it from the feedback.

I just don't understand how to do it..write I mean. My head goes blank. I can read just fine and know if I like something but just can't think of anything to write... :-( I read a few more tonight and the 'kissing' story..I liked the kissing story and the poem about the night..can't remember offhand which one it was though but it was a little farther down from the top. Just don't know how you think of the words and stuff!

www.dictionary.com (there's also a thesaurus).  That helps quite a bit.   I kind of wait until I"m inspired by something.  I was thinking of continuing the He Kissed me Story and taking it to a whole new level.  I already have his name (Alasdair) and he's scots descent (hence the faint accent).  He's an architect/builder.

I went over to the writer's forum once to "look around" and some people on there were basically bashing self-published authors...I've never gone back as I found that to be very rude.  As a self-published author, I think I have worked every bit as hard on my novels as they have.  Enough said...I may start ranting.  :o)

That said, I have self published three Christian Old West romances through lulu.com

I just love to write and share my stories...I don't care if I never get famous.  :o)

Good luck with your writing!
