This book describes the types of official functions and public rooms at the White House. The book dipicts a mouse that is elected president. The story describes the mouse attending the Inaugration, an Inaugural Ball, State Room dinner and working in the Oval Office. The book is wonderfully illustrated with detail drawings and bright colors. The book is well researched and the pictures are intended to reflect the inside of the White House. The illustrator does add some funny humorous touches to each page. At the end of the book, there are a couple of pages with historical notes for parents and teachers. The illustrations make the book.
