I've been eagerly anticipating the arrival of a book--which should have been delivered already, according to the tracking.

  • 12/17/2012 11:23 AM - Electronic Shipping Info Received - SAN JACINTO,CA
  • 12/17/2012 2:37 PM - Acceptance - SAN JACINTO,CA
  • 12/17/2012 9:49 PM - Enroute - SAN BERNARDINO,CA
  • 12/18/2012 10:21 PM - Enroute - SALT LAKE CITY,UT
  • 12/19/2012 6:38 AM - Arrival at Unit - MIDVALE,UT
  • 12/19/2012 8:09 AM - Unknown-PC - MIDVALE,UT
  • 12/19/2012 8:19 AM - Unknown-OF - MIDVALE,UT
  • 12/19/2012 4:22 PM - Delivered - MIDVALE,UT

I can understand it being off by one day, because of the Unknown-PC/Unknown-OF on the 19th. I thought for sure it would be here on the 20th (yesterday), but nothing.

Has anyone had a book arrive several days after the "delivered" date?

Sorry, but I have no advice because whenever I see details like you did on the 19th, the book was delievered to me. Hope others can help and good luck.

My only advice would be to check with your neighbors since it might have been misdelivered.

I've had books scanned as delivered that I didn't actually get until several days afterwards. No idea why, but it does happen. But yes, a good idea to check with neighbors. I have had things misdelivered to the wrong apartment #, fortunately the neighbor was honest and brought it to me!

Yes, call your post office/postmaster.  The book should have arrived on the 19th as scanned (my mail courier scans the books at my mailbox or as she hands them to me in the driveway).  Not a bad idea to check with the neighbors either, delivery people are overwhelmed this time of year and they could have misdelivered.

Well, apparently I have a misdelivered package at our complex's main office. Someone opened my package thinking it was theirs, and then turned it in. The cynic in me thinks they knew it wasn't theirs, but opened it anyway in case it was something "good". They were probably disappointed it was just an old book.

LOL, but, at least they did turn it in.

I'm glad to have it back, that's for sure! But I'm hoping nothing else is missing since I'm expecting something from a company to review.

My son had a birthday card put in our PO box almost a month late. It was accidentally put in a wrong box and that person doesn't check mail frequently so had no idea it was there. When she did check box, she turned it in but my son got a very late card!
