So I get Penelope's Daughter by Laurel Corona in the mail today and opened it up in my driveway before I rolled out to the store. It was in perfect condition which made me really happy. Then when I got home I took the package w/the book and my stuff from the store out of the car and promptly dropped the open package w/the book in a big ol' puddle of mud. Now the book has mud splatters on the top which I can get out w/sandpaper but I can do nothing about the water spots on the pages. Oh, and when I opened it to see how bad the water splatters on the pages were I noticed the copy sent to me was signed by the author. WHY ME?!!!??!!
Someone please tell me they've read it and its a total dud. I wouldn't feel so bad about throwing a horrible book in the mud
