Love this book! Bright, colorful, and easy to read, and easy to use. This book includes the writing process, prewriting and drafting, revising and checking, sentences and paragraphs, personal writing, subject writing, research writing, and poetry writing. It also covers reading skills, using phonics, making contractions, speaking and listening skills, and learning skills. In addition, there is a proofreader's guide and a student almanac.

My children were in public school for only 2.5 years. This is the only material that I liked enough to continue on at home. It was an excellent resource for language arts and writing for children. Works well with the work book that accompanies it.
