I am 61 and now caring for my grandson, who is 20 months old. This was a sudden acquisition I was really not prepared for, but I accepted temporary custody. Still don't know how everything will turn out.
I journal a lot, so I've started one for this experience. It may save my life. When I can get a spare moment, I write, and write, and write on my computer.
Does anyone know of a book on raising grandchildren, either information or a journal type book? I am looking online for support groups, because I surely do need one.
Hi Brenda. It's wonderful that you are able to step in and help raise your little grandbaby. AARP has some articles and programs for helping, I posted the link below:
Journaling is a great idea, if you can find the time. When my children were that age, my journals often had pages and pages of their scribbling. Whatever I was doing, they were doing! (Those are my favorite journals to look back on now)
