I have a book that I was thinking of posting, but I noticed that I wrote my name on the inside of the cover, probably because I once lent it to someone and wanted to be sure to get it back. Does that fall into the same category as a bookplate? There is no other writing in the book, which is a trade paperback. I won't post it if that's illegal, but I wasn't sure after checking the Help pages and am new enough that I'm still learning what can and can't be sent.

I think this is the applicable rule.

No writing or highlighting or underlining on text pages

  • a signature or note on the flyleaf or inside front or back cover is OKAY

So, if it's just your name, it's ok to post.

Subject: See what I get for typing more words? Second answer, that's what.

LOL

I'd say it falls under the same category as having a bookplate, but in the event that's not sure enough of an answer, this is the line in the Help Center:

No writing or highlighting or underlining on text pages

  • a signature or note on the flyleaf or inside front or back cover is OKAY

Since your book has writing on the inside of the cover and not on text pages, and it's on the inside cover, it's fine to post. :)
