I have  an "excellent condition" paperback that has a handwritten notation on the dedication page.  The page has the "to John" printed on it by the author, then the original  buyer wrote a 2 sentence note to the person it was apparently gifted to, is this okay?  Can I post it?

From the FAQ:

No writing or highlighting or underlining on text pages

  • a signature or note on the flyleaf or inside front or back cover is OKAY
