got a wish list book today that should have been large print and it is not.  How do I go about getting back on the wish list in the place I was before, and how do I get my credit back for this book????

You have to mark the book as Received With a Problem, explain why and ask for your credit back.  Before you do: check the ISBN and the book listing.  If it doesn't clearly say large print in the listing and the ISBN matches then they sent the right book. Sometimes publisher's reuse ISBN's and not all PBS listings clearly state that they are large print.

If the book is listed in the PBS database as a Large Print, then you would mark it as Received With A Problem - Wrong book and ask for your credit back. The Help Center details this process in the section There is a problem with a book I received!

If the site's database did not list it as a Large Print, then you will not get the credit back and will need to set up Requester Conditions on that book to ensure getting the Large Print only.

If the ISBN is the same on the regular print, I would recommend adding something in your RCs reinforcing the Large Print requirement. I know you shouldn't have to, but it might wave that flag in their face one last time and get them to cancel the request. Avoiding the whole RWAP-please-give-my-credit-back hassle is worth repeating that kind of info in an RC to me.

Bertie,

On Amazon, that ISBN (the one you posted above) is not listed as a large print. They do also have a different large print version of the book, with a different ISBN.

I see on PBS, Large Print is listed in the title for the book, but it may not be correct.

I am not sure if the PBS listing is wrong or not .... it seems from Amazon that it might be. I am not sure of where to verify this for sure.

But if the PBS listing is wrong, then the listing needs to be corrected, and there would be no point to making a RWAP to get back in the Wish list line for this regular print book.

If the PBS listing is correct,  then you should RWAP the transaction, to get back in line.

You could use the contact us button, give htem the book info and explain that you think this is not an actual large print edtion.

The sender should have posted the book without an ISBN when the listing said large print-or have submitted a book edit to correct the listing.  One of the data editors would have done some research before changing it.
