I have a book that seems to be on several people's wish list.  I posted it assuming it would be asked for right away.  It wasn't.  I went to the club wish list and saw the book listed, but it has a different isbn.  Even the paperback version (which is what I have) is not the same as what I posted on my bookshelf, but it's obviously the same book.

The book in question is Echo Park by Michael Connelly.  Anything I can/should do?  TIA!

You can post in the Book Bazaar - there is a thread for WL'd books with different ISBN's there.

Thank you, Layne.  I'm obviously new here.  Is this a frequent issue, that the isbns are wrong?  It's a new book for me (new from the bookstore) so obviously I was surprised that it wasn't requested immediately when I realized how many people were waiting for it.  Is this an issue with PBS or with the publisher...anyone know?

The ISBN is probably not wrong. Sometimes different editions of books have different ISBNs like a reprint or a large print or an "uncut" authors notes version. What is the ISBN you have? There are five versions in the system and two of those versions are not on WL.

There are 148 copies in the system for your paperback version of the book. The ones that are WL for the other version probably specifically want that version. It could tradesize or they just want that Cover.  Some people collect authors and want the same cover scheme for all of them. Who knows. But for whatever reason they don't want that version it appears.

Ahh, gotcha.  I had no idea.  I'm just a reader, not collector, so I was surprised.  I didn't even know about different covers, etc.  Thanks people!
