this is beautiful and intense, the adolescence and maturing of a gifted, sexual, brilliant baby dyke. Never have I read a lesbian coming of age story this good ever. and I've read a few. She so perfectly captures the incredible bursting of emotion and hormones and burst of understanding and bewilderment that is being an adolescent female.

the cover quote "Madelyn Arnold is terrific!" is by Dorothy Allison, so there you go.
