When Bailey Cooper visits Medicine Mountain, an ancient Indian Spiritual site, she is enveloped in a thick fog and wanders off the side of a cliff while trying to find her car. When she regains consciousness, she finds herself in the home of Zachariah Gooden and his three teenage sisters. Bailey soon learns that the year is 1878 and she insists that Zach take her back to the cliff where he found her. Zach thinks the whack on her head may have caused her to believe she was from the future. He likes Bailey and asks her to stick around and teach his sisters, Faith, Hope, and Charity, how to be ladies. Bailey quickly realizes that the girls should have been named Chaos, Havoc, and Plague. Their shenanigans have the whole town talking. Bailey wonders if she has been sent back in time to help steer the girls in the right direction.

This story started out as a typical time-travel story. But it took a right turn into a murder mystery in the middle of the book. Zach is accused of killing the owner of the neighboring ranch and Bailey must use her background as an attorney to try to get him released from jail. My rating: 4 Stars.
