My mother bought me this book when I was young. We had this and an Emily Post book. I even went to an etiquitte class when I was around 12. Even thought the illustrations are dated in this book, I think it's an important book for youngsters. Even if you want to get it as a "gag" gift, that's okay. But as I look around the world and my classroom, I realize even people my age and older are conforming to today's lack of manners just to survive. It shouldn't be this way. What happened to queing up in line to board the bus? Or even waiting for the next available bank teller?
