This is a childrens book that will introduce your child to the wonderful work of music and instruments. It has received many honors including A School Library Journal Best Book and A New York Times Best Illustrated Book.
I am an adult, but this book is my new favorite book. I had gotten it originally for my neice, but ended up keeping it myself. It shows the reader various instruments. I like that as it progresses with adding each instrument it mentions the music group for each page (ie when they have 2 insturments it says duet, three - trio, four - quartet., etc). My other exremly bias reason for liking this book is the instrumnet used on one of the middle pages (I want to say 6) - a bassoon. There is a great illustration, whils is useful to show people people who don't know the insturment an idea of what it looks like and how its played.
