Book Description:
Business has been slow. Okay, business has been dead. And not even of the undead variety. You would think Chicago would have a little more action for the only professional wizard in the phone book. But lately, Harry Dresden hasn't been able to dredge up any kind of work - magical or mundane.

But just when it looks like he can't afford his next meal, a murder comes along that requires his particular brand of supernatural expertise.

A brutally mutilated corpse. Strange-looking paw prints. A full moon. Take three guesses - and the first two don't count...

This is a very fast action book. It held my attention and I read it quickly. I liked Harry better in this book than the last. I think you start to get to know i him a little better than the last book. Definately recommend the series!

This is Book 2 of the Dresden Files.

While I did not dislike the first book, I wasn't that impressed. This book, however, was great. The things that bothered me about the first book were not present in this one. It was a fun read with a good mystery, lots of suspects, constant action, an interesting plot, and much better character development.

Now that I've gotten used to the writing style and have a better feel of the characters, I can definitely say that I am hooked on this series. The more I learn about Harry, the more I like him. In this book he's up to his eyeballs in werewolves and the mystery behind them will leave you hanging until the very end.
