This is the only book I have ever come across that explains how egalitarian marriage actually works. The author is a sociologist and this doesn't read like a self-help book. This is about how real people worked out relationships where both spouses had equal power and were each equally valued for their contributions to their life together. Some of the couples are traditional single-earner households, too. It wasn't at all what I expected and I learned a lot from it.
