The information in this book will educate the reader about natural drugs, remedies, treatments, medicines, cures, and dietary supplements. The author is NOT a doctor but draws on personal experience, research and observations to compile the data contained in this book. There are chapters explaining Coenzyme Q-10, St. John's Wort, Ginkgo, Glucosamine, Echinacea, Valerian, Bea Pollen, Fish Oil, and Vitamins C and E, plus others.

This is an excellent book. Very full of insite, and most of all well researched. The author tells you in the beginning that she has only put the "herbs, vitamins and natural remedies" in this book that she would take or advise a loved one to take. This book leaves you with a more complete view of the American health crisis, and gives you the tools to learn more about natural treatment options. The author uses case studies or testimonies to back up her wisdom. As a person with a few of the health problems discussed in the book, I found it to be very helpful. I now know what I need to know to begin on the path to healing myself naturaly. If you are looking for a book to tell you that you can do this alone and need not seek help from the medical community, this is not it. Rather the author gives you more resources to help you find a medical profesional who can help you in your path to healing. Overall, I found this book to be a very valuable read.
