Book Description:
The Woman

Lady Henrietta Maclellan longs for the romantic swirl of a London season. But as a rusticating country maiden, she has always kept her sensuous nature firmly under wraps -- until she meets Simon Darby. Simon makes her want to whisper promises late at night, exchange kisses on a balcony, receive illicit love notes. So Henrietta lets her imagination soar and writes...

The Letter

A very steamy love letter that becomes shockingly public. Everyone supposes that he has written it to her, but the truth hardly matters in the face of the scandal to come if they don't marry at once. But nothing has quite prepared Henrietta for the pure sensuality of...

The Man

Simon has vowed he will never turn himself into a fool over a woman. So, while debutantes swoon as he disdainfully strides past the lovely ladies of the ton, he ignores them allÂ…until Henrietta. Could it be possible that he has been the foolish one all along?

Enjoyable but not great. I like the hero and heroine in this but found their ending very predictable.

This is the second book in The Duchess Quartet by Eloisa James. While it was probably my least favorite out of the four books in this series, it is by no means a poorly written book. It is better read as part of the series than as a stand-alone, however.

This story of three lady friends, other books in the series, A Wild Pursuit and Your Wicked Ways. All steamy and great romp plus Ms. James is a witty writer.

A really fun book about a sweet heroine and the dandy-ish hero that she longs for... A real treat.

I felt this book moved slower than some of James' other books. It wasn't as enjoyable to me. The ending came rather abruptly, without any dramatic tension leading up to it.

I enjoyed this 2nd book in James' "Duchess Quartet."

I have read about all of Eloisa James' novels, liked them all. This one is no exception.

It's an E. James book, what's not to love? Funny, engaging characters. I really enjoyed all the correspondence flying around in this one.
