Book Description:
Life is reasonably rosy for plus-size ex-pop star turned Assistant Dormitory Director and sometime sleuth Heather Wells. Her freeloading ex-con dad is finally moving out. She still yearns for her hot landlord, Cooper Cartwright, but her relationship with "rebound beau," vigorous vegan math professor Tad Tocco, is more than satisfactory. Best of all, nobody has died lately in "Death Dorm," the aptly nicknamed student residence that Heather assistant-directs. Of course every silver lining ultimately has some black cloud attached. And when the latest murdered corpse to clutter up her jurisdiction turns out to be her exceedingly unlovable boss, Heather finds herself on the shortlist of prime suspects—along with the rabble-rousing boyfriend of her high-strung student assistant and an indecently handsome young campus minister who's been accused of taking liberties with certain girls' choir members.

With fame beckoning her back into show business (as the star of a new kids' show!) it's a really bad time to get wrapped up in another homicide. Plus Tad's been working himself up to ask her a Big Question, which Heather's not sure she has an answer for . . .

I really liked the previous 2 books in this series but this 3rd book couldn't hold my attention. I can't give too many specifics because I just couldn't force myself through it. It's gotten old, Death Dorm is still Death Dorm, seriously how many murders can happen in one college campus dorm semester after semester?? It's past the point of being funny what Heather Wells gets herself into and gotten to the eye roll and thinking "are you seriously going with this for a 3rd time?!?"

Well. I've now read all 3 of the Heather Wells books, all in a row, in about 2 weeks time. I'm looking forward to reading something else.

I flew through this one. More in an effort to just finish it already. The mystery in this one was, well, boring. Heather didn't have to try too hard. And if no one in the story cared about the character who was murdered, why should I? There was no depth to this one. Not as good as the other two. Like Ms. Cabot had the "Heather Wells story template", but she just didn't feel like filling in too many details this time around.

I have to admit, I'm a little amazed at how prolific Ms. Cabot is. Maybe her books would be better if she wasn't writing so darn many? Quality over quantity, you know?

:( I was disappointed with this one. I loved the first 2 books in the series. This one happened too fast. It only spanned through 2 days of Heather Wells. It all went too quickly and I was not impressed.

The 3rd in the Heather Wells series.

I have to say, not as good as the first two but still a worthwhile read.

Where the first two focus more on Heather solving the crimes, this one seemed to almost put that on the back burner. Characters that were prominently featured in the first two just have a one page or so of interaction.

A little disappointing for the series but I still managed to read it in about 4 hours.

This book is not as good as the second book in the series, and I strongly suggest reading size 14 is not fat either before reading Big Boned. This third book in the series talks more about the murder instead of Heather's love life, which can be confusing for some folks.

To me this just wasn't one of Meg's best works and honestly I hope this was the end to the series..though I'm doubting it..but I'm hoping.

I really liked this book. Heather Wells is a great main character. The books have humor and are believable. Sarah Rue should play her if tehy evre turn these books into a movie.

This is the third in the Heather Wells books, and I enjoyed it as far as fluff reading goes. Heather does manage to find herself in more trouble, as she just can't stay away from trying to solve yet another murder in her residence hall. More laugh out loud moments in this one, and it was a pretty good read overall. I think out of the three books in the series, I enjoyed the second one the most though.

This is the 3rd book of the series, featuring Heather Wells. The two other books are 1. Size 12 Is Not Fat, and 2. Size 14 Is Not Fat Either. I would definitely read those before reading this book to gain the background that is not fully explained in this 3rd novel of the Heather Wells Mystery series. I read the book very quickly, and was glad to have some finality to some events started in the first book. It was written in a manner that another book could be added to the series, but also is created in a manner that brings it back full circle. Enjoyable and fun read!

Easy reading book and cute storyline. The last half of the book lost my attention though.

This is a fast read, not the best I ever read, but still entertaining. Heather Wells is an ex-child singing star. Her mother stole all her money (and her manager) and ran off to Argentina. She has a hot boyfriend but yearns for another. Her boss is found shot in the head. Accidental? Of course not! She works for a college and one of the dorms has become known as Death Dorm. There were 2 books before this one that deals with those, I guess. Does Heather find the killer? Does she escape with her life? Does she keep the new hottie OR end up with her true love?

There are some extremely funny parts and I found myself laughing out loud at them but there could have been more.

Mystery, love, and some fun. I guess it does have it all!Anyway, a fast, fun read.
