A good read, especially if you know about antiques and decorating, and even if you aren'tt, it's still fun to read and figure out what things really are.

I dont like to read yearning, burning romances. This is NOT one of those. The back cover has a review that accurately tells it all,"the right combination of romance, mystery, and sharp funny writing." Not one of those themed mysteries either. (I do like those). It is a book with a blend of reality that is refreshing and not painted on screwball dialogue or situations. But you always got to have a dog and a gay best friend, too. The characters are memorable and distinct from each other. Add what I have to say with some of the other summaries and I think you will, get the idea that this book is worth reading.

This was one of the funniest books I had read in a long time. One of the authors best.
Small town people in messy life situations, each following their own drummer. Anyone who grew up in a small southern or midwest town will recognize people from their past. Loved it.

This book cracked me up! I loved how Keeley told her cheating fiance to stick it, even though he kept trying to come back after cheating with her best friend! I couln't put this one down!

I LOVED this book - I thought it was just going to be "fluff" but it had a great story to it and it actually took me several days to finish (im a speed reader) so that was a plus!

The night before her wedding, in the middle of the rehearsal dinner, interior decorator Keeley Murdock finds her fiance and her maid of honor in a compromising position. Keeley throws the hissy fit to end all hissy fits and storms out.
Now she has to deal not only with a broken engagement but also with "financial blacklist" in a town financially obligated to her ex's family. Rescue comes in the form of the new owner of a local bra plant, who hires Keeley to redo the antebellum mansion he's bought for the woman of his dreams--someone he's never met.
Only a designing woman like Keeley can revive her business, give her ex-fiance the comeuppance he deserves... and ride off into the sunset with a man who drives a vintage yellow Cadillac.
"...oozes the aroma of magnolia blossoms." (ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION) So, it's not cigarette smoke you smell on the book.
Melanie H. (Mary Kay Andrews (alter ego of Kathy Hogan Trocheck) was discovered via recommendation from a friend. Hissy Fit is set in Georgia. Opening chapter tells about a bride to be at her rehearsal dinner doing through the motions of greeting all her guests. She then discovers her groom doing the nasty with her maid of honor...that's where the title comes in - she pitches a true southern Hissy Fit. The book is filled with true Georgia charm with alot of laugh out loud moments.
