Book Description:
Julian Kane is back in town. Once, as a girl of seventeen, beautiful, headstrong Portia Cabot saved the cursed life of the dashing vampire Julian Kane — who marked her forever, then left to go in search of his soul. He returns five years later to find the enchanting young girl he left behind grown into a bewitching woman with a woman's heart... and a woman's desires.

Portia quickly discovers that Julian's seductive and forbidden kiss can still make her crave the night... and his touch. But the Julian who has returned to London is not the vampire she remembers. His fruitless pursuit of his stolen mortality has reduced him to drunken debauchery. And a recent spate of murders makes Portia fear that the man she has always adored may truly be a monster.

Julian knows he must drive Portia away — but his passion and hunger for her grow more irresistible every time they touch. For years he has fought the temptation to embrace his dark gifts, never realizing that Portia's love may give him the most dangerous gift of all... a reason to live.

This book got me from the first page. It's set in "Jack the Ripper"'s London with a Vampire hunter, his younger sister-in-law who is in love with his Vampire brother. It's a very fast moving story - not a big plot, but big enough for a quick read. I really enjoyed it.

You need to have read 'After Midnight' before reading this book. They are both good reads.

this is a great vampire novel with a great twist. This is a must read for all romance lovers! Placed in victorian England this book made me cry, laugh, and kept me on the edge of my seat. It was so good I read it in one sitting!

I enjoyed this read but you really should read book #1 first or you are missing alot of backround. This book is set 6years after the first. I enjoyed both very much! They are exciting, romantic and funny! Enjoy! Book #1 in this series is titled "After Midnight".

I really loved this book, but I would recommend reading After Midnight first, because you will see how Julian and Portia first met. You will also understand what led up to the things that are going to occur in this book.
You should take the time to read them both in order, if not I believe The Vampire who loves me gives you enough of the back story to satisfy you.

This book was boring. The characters did not interest me, the historical aspects were cheesy, and the love scenes were not at all steamy. It was only a fast read because the font is so large.

This is the initial entry of a vampire series which is more focused on the romance than bloodletting, but there's no lack of hemoglobin being dished up.

A great continuation of the first book "After Midnight." This book is a very FAST read. Great for the beach or when on vacation.

this book to be read after "After Midnight" This sister is much stronger and can take on any man. Again I like this old fashion vampire romance set in the 1800's and the two brothers and three sisters can bet all odds together. Good and easy read. Again total opposite of Hamilton and Kenyon books. But Sherrilyn Kenyon quote about this author on this book "one of my all-time favorite athors.....An enchanted tale guaranteed to touch your heart". My thoughts exactly!
