Very suspenseful, full of good information on the current state of the Mexican/American border. At times hard to read, but a quick page turner overall.

This is one of my favorite authors. When I read her books I not only enjoy a good work of fiction and facinating characters, I also learn new things. Science and geography, and history are all cleverly woven throughout. This book was no exception, but the things I learned about the US/Mexico border and the trade in drugs and humans there wasn't pleasant. Cold, hard truths...but too much like watching the evening news.

Elizabeth Lowell at her best...this book you will not want to put down after you have read the first chapter... If you like supsense, intrigue, and a little romance on the side than you will definitely love this read.

I loved this book. I got a little bored with all the legal speak about the US/Mexican border, but the story line was great.

Wow - a very good book. I haven't read this author before, but I think I would like to find more of her work. This book really keeps your attention and reminds you, don't EVER come between a woman and her child! Lots of action and suspense kept the storyline going. Highly recommended!
