Book Description:
Lizzie Nichols has a problem: she can't keep anything to herself. And when she opens her big mouth on a trip to London, her good intentions get her long-distance beau, Andrew, in major hot water. Now she's stuck in England with no boyfriend and no place to stay until the departure date on her nonrefundable airline ticket. Fortunately, Lizzie's best friend and college roommate, Shari, is spending her summer catering weddings in a sixteenth-century château in southern France. Who cares if Lizzie's never traveled alone in her life and only speaks rudimentary French? She's off to Souillac to lend a helping hand!

One glimpse of gorgeous Château Mirac—and of gorgeous Luke, the son of the château's owner—and Lizzie's smitten. But thanks to her chronic inability to keep a secret, before the first cork has been popped Luke hates her, the bride is in tears, and Château Mirac is on the road to becoming a lipo-recovery spa. Add to that the arrival of ex-beau Andrew, who's looking for "closure" (or at least a loan), and everything—including Lizzie's shot at true love—is in la toilette . . . unless she can figure out some way to use her big mouth to save the day.

This is the first book that I have read from Meg Cabot and I really, REALLY liked it. I read it in two days and had a difficult time putting it down. I love how she just can't stop talking and gets herself into messes all the while (sounds like a few people that I know personally). It had a lot of British humour in it as well, if you like that sort of thing. There is a sequel, Queen of Babble in the Big City, due to be released Summer 2008 ...

Awesome book. I couldn't stop reading it, I had to find out what happened next. Great Meg Cabot book and I cannot wait to read more of her books!

This book was a lot of fun to read. The beginning was a little slow. I felt like I skimmed through her inner dialogue a few too many times, but once it started rolling, I couldn't put it down. I am a fan of Meg Cabot fans and she didn't disappoint with this on. I can't wait to see how Lizzie makes in "The City" in the next book!

A bit more sexy compared to her other books that I've read, and a bit more detailed with the sex scenes.

The book is good for the first and last half, but the middle, the story line starts to sag a little bit because of all the little details and the story line drags out for a little bit, but after a few chapters it picks back up again.

A good read especially for those summer days.

This was a fun, fast read. The main character, Lizzie sort of does babble her way through the book. You can almost hear her voice. I would love to have her as a friend.
If you like Bridget Jones, you'll love this.

I loved this book! I literually could not put it down, I stayed up half way through the night so that I could finish it. Lizzie is very relatable and at some point in you life I'm sure that you have had a Lizzie moment. The characters for the most part are lovable and realistic. I found myself thinking of people that I know and laughing because of the similarities.

I would recommend this book for anyone who just wants a good book to curl up to. The start is a little slow but as you get to know the characters you become caught up in the story, you become involved and you want to see what Lizzie is going to do next. Enjoy!

I like Meg Cabot and have read several of her books but this one I only got to the end of the first chapter and knew that there was no way I could finish the book. The main character got on my nerves right from the start and if she was that annoying just reading her thoughts I knew it wasn't going to get any better.

Shallow! The main character is silly, petty & hopefully not like most American girls. I quit reading 1/3 of the way through as I wasn't interested in her "babbling" & the boyfriend in England was as exciting as dirt.

A cute, quirky, quick read. A bit predictable but still worthy of reading.
