Excellent variation of Allende's regular South American location. Told from a boy's perspective and follows him thru adulthood. Allende's descriptions always leave me wanting to read more - as does this one!

Classic Isabel Allende book, rich with fabled descriptions, ghosts, vivid imagery, delusions of grander, family amnesia. It's delicious.

The first Allende book that is set in the United States, The Infinite Plan tells the story of Gregory Reeves, from his impoverished childhood to his quest for love and acceptance in later years. A very good read!
