Book Description:
"Can we get some reality in here?" asks Judy Sheindlin, former supervising judge for Manhattan Family Court. For twenty-four years she has laid down the law as she understands it:

If you want to eat, you have to work.

If you have children, you'd better support them.

If you break the law, you have to pay.

If you tap the public purse, you'd better be accountable.

Now she abandons all judicial restraint in a scathing critique of the system--filled with realistic hard-nosed alternatives to our bloated welfare bureaucracy and our soft-on-crime laws.

Judge Judy tells it like it is. She gives excellent advice in her typical "no holds barred" fashion.

An entertaining and thought-provoking book which offers a lot of good suggestions about dealing with people, raising kids with responsibility for their actions, and basically just getting along in everyday life. Wither you're a fan of Judy's show or not, this book is well worth reading.

Long before she was a TV judge, Judy Judy was a New York family court judge. She is a firm believer that everyone should be held accountable for their actions. In this book she cites court cases to support her views that the legal and social services systems of this country need major renovations and that in their current state they promote irresponsibility, fraud and cover-ups.
I really enjoyed this book as I totally agree with her views that the legal system is too quick to allow criminals to play the "I was the victim" role. We have a system that will allow such excuses as "I ate too many Twinkies or I did not get the respect I was owed" to factor into sentences for crimes.

Enjoyable sense of humor along with justice.
