Book Description:

Acorna has reached adulthood and feels inexplicably drawn to search for her own kind. No sooner does she leave then they arrive, spreading a warning about a dangerous race conquering planets and searching for that lost little girl. This series, as McCaffrey's often are, isn't numbered, but this is probably the 2nd book in the series.

Hubby and I both enjoyed it immensely. I think it was better than the first one and am looking forward to the next.
This is light reading but very enjoyable.
