Book Description:
After ten years of cleaning up the dirt on Atlanta's streets, Callahan Garrity is trading in her badge for a broom and a staff of house cleaners. But, though the uniform is a little different, Callahan soon finds herself right back in the middle of a mystery when a client's pretty, pious nineteen-year-old nanny is gone ... along with the jewelry, silver, and a few rather sensitive real estate documents.

Before she knows it, the meticulous Callahan is up to her elbows in a case involving illicit love triangles, crooked business deals, long-distance scams, and a dead body. Now she has to roll up her sleeves and start some industrial strength sleuthing to solve -- and survive -- this mess.

Found this author via recommendation for the alter ego - Mary Kay Andrews. All the books are quick reads with just the right amount of mystery.

Every Crooked Nanny is about a Nanny who leaves with more than she came with...or did she? Nice weekend mystery!

Atlanta house cleaning service owner and former police officer Callahan Garrity and her quirky cleaning crew, especially her mother, are a hoot!!! This is the 1st in a series.

I'd read all of Mary Kay Andrews books, and was needing another good read. This book is full of characters, a few twists and is a hoot all the whole way through. Reminded me of Janet Evanovitch's Plum series, the way you have people stumbling across intrigue, inept helpers, memorable personalities, plus the few characters in the book that you love to despise and are glad when they get their comeuppance. Ordered the next two in the series when I was half way through this one. It took me a weekend to read, but I could've read it in one sitting, it was so good.

Every Crooked Nanny
4 out of 5

This book has everything. Lesbian love triangles, mixed marriages, crooked real estate deals, a phony nanny scam, and a body in the fur vault. So, if you are missing your daily dose of soap opera’s check out this book.

Trocheck also known as Mary Kay Andrews, introduces us to J. Callahan Garrity, a retired cop who traded it all in for a cleaning business in Atlanta, Georgia. While taking on a new client, Callahan runs smack dab into ex sorority sister Lilah who is now married to a high rolling developer.

When Lilah finds out about Callahan’s experience in PI work, she hires Callahan to find their Mormon nanny who has disappeared with furs, jewels and very sensitive business information that the Beemish’s are desperate to get back.

The story goes from wacky to quirky rather quickly, but definitely not a story you have heard before. Great characters that will carry this series far. Characters are laugh out loud funny and I look forward to the next in the series.

This story is set in Atlanta and since I live near Atlanta I was familiar with a lot of the places mentioned. It was a very good book and I would definately read other books she has written. The author is a resident of Atlanta.

An excellent book! Kathy Hogan Trocheck also writes as Mary Kay Andrews - Savannah Blues, Little Bitty Lies, and Hissy Fit. The Callahan Garrity Mysteries remind me of a Southern Stephanie Plum. They are not to be missed!
