This was an ok book. I've read all of Gibson's book and this one seems to be written in a hurry. I came across a few grammatical mistakes and one Chevy Maverick (Ford made the Maverick). Possible the editor was having an off day too! It was a quick read with a steamy hero.

I loved this and all of the other books in the series (four in all). Rachel Gibson's book are easy to read and hard to put down. You are going to fall in love with Maddie and her best friends. This book is actually #3 in the series.

The girls are all best friends who are all writers in different genres. The most clever thing is the genre that each writes in somehow play a part in their individual stories.

I really enjoyed this book! I started reading Rachel Gibson just about a year ago and I still haven't read all of her books. It was a great story and I didn't feel that the characters emotions were too over the top; they were very relatable. She also uses many references that make you feel like it's happening in the here and now; like maybe a song that you would literally hear on the radio, if you listened to country music anyway. And I have to say it, the sex scenes were awesome! At one point I was like "Go head girl!!!" Usually women aren't portrayed as strongly as Maddie was.

Maddie returns to Truly, Idaho where she had suffered tragedy as a child. She is now a true crime writer who is writing her own family's story. Mick Hennessy was also affected deeply by the tragedy when he was a child. Can these two learn to trust each other despite their joint tragic past? This book has Gibson's typical romance but here she adds a note of seriousness making it a really good read.

This was a very fun book. I just wish the ending would have had a little more detail but was still a very good book.

Gibson never disappoints!! Just as easy and lovely as the others.

Oh wow! Gibson's best book yet! Series from Clare's wild book. Maddy goes to Truly to find a bit more than her story.

Good Book! Easy and fast read. First time I read this author and would read again

Meh. I have never read this author before, though I have a lot of her books on my TBR pile.

The story concerns a murder that happened in the town of Truly around 20 years ago. The murder/suicide devastates the children of 2 families, and one of them, who is a true crime writer, comes back to town to write the story of what happened.

She falls in love with the man whose mother killed her own mother. And does not tell him who she is. For most of the book.

It's not a terribly dark book, despite the murder angle, but there were a few things that bugged me. There was a thread with a secondary character that was never developed and things wrapped up just a little too neatly.

Not a challenging read, but one to pass some time.

This is a good, light-hearted, fun summer read. Enjoyable!
