It was an exciting book but I had to read it for school so it took all the enjoyment out of it. :(

Very good story from excellent author. Yep researches and intuits well. In this centennial year of the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake "Dragonwings" makes very good reading. About boy from China who goes to USA at turn of century to be with father. Holds interest and encourages imagination. Draws in many interesting Chinese and Occidental characters - looks at different races interacting, Chinese life of that time, little known history of flight in Bay Area, as well as earthquake.
