This book is a great continuation of the Laura Ingalls/Rose Wilder story. It tells the story of the family's move from the Dakotas to Missouri and of their life settling into their new home.

Laura, Almonza, and Rose say good-bye to Ma and Pa Ingalls and Laura's sisters. In a covered wagon containing all their possessions, they make their way across the drought-stricken Midwest to the lush green valleys of southern Missouri. The journey is long and not always easy. B ut there is so much to do and see as the landscape changes along the way.
The end of this journey marks a new beginning for the Wilder family: a new home and the promise of hard work but also of wondrous discoveries and adventures to fill a childhood.

Laura, Almonzo and Rose say good-bye to Ma and Pa Ingalls and move to Missouri in a new beginning
This is the first in a series about Rose Wilder Lane, only child of Laura Ingalls Wilder. This book was written by Rose's honorary grandson. An excellent addition to any Little House collection.

An okay book. It follows Laura Ingalls Wilder's travels after she marries and has a kid. No where near as good as the books actually written by her, but worth the read for a die-hard Laura fan.

I love this book. It describes the fun and hardships of Rose Wilder, dauter of Laura and Almonzo Wilder.
