Rosemary F. (I don't understand why this title is rated so low by some readers. It's a rare accomplishment. Set in the middle ages, it is both serious and funny, with characters that jump off the page. Buadolino is one himself, narrating this fantastical tale of exploits. It reads well and is full of historical details and great descriptions. Every bit as good as the Name of the Rose.
