Coming from a person who has an insiders view of this type of police work, this is a great book and reads like a first rate novel.
Excellent read. I really did not realize this was going on just 15-20 years ago. It's amazing what flat out greed will bring people to do without a second thought.
Found it amazing that all of this was going on during this time. All I could think of was episodes of Miami Vice when I was reading this, it's hard to believe these things really happened. Not as much about US Special Forces as I was looking for, but it was a good book.
(An excellent, detailed account of the reign and fall of Pablo Escabar in Columbia.
Wonderfully written book by a great author. Really riveting.
