Another home run from Jan Karon. Shepherds Abiding made me long for the crisp, chilly air of winter and the joy that Christmas always brings. If you need a Christmas fix, but the holiday season is several months away, this is the book for you.

After a vacation reading thrillers, spy novels and mysteries, it was so refreshing to pick up Jan Karon's Shepherds Abiding. I gently eased back into Mitford with Father Tim, Cynthia and all the wonderful individuals whose lives I've followed through this 8th book in the series. Aaaghh! This was a wonderful book, as usual, and brought tears to my eyes with the shared moments of family and brotherly love, the neighbor watching out for neighbor and the simple things in life making for the greatest joys. What a heartwarming book for these troubled times! Enjoy this read!

It is the 8th and final book of the series. It wraps up all the burning questions about Mitford.
This book, as well as the whole series; charming, uplifting, easy read. You'll hate to put it down and hate to see it end
I loved this entire series and could hardly wait to get my hands on each book.
