Felicia J. (In Fiona's world, people called Safe Keepers hear the secrets of others and do not repeat them to another living soul. Fiona longs to become a Safe Keeper like her mother, but as she grows up, she learns the consequences of keeping some secrets.
Shinn tells this lovely story of Fiona, her adopted brother Reed and their village with a slow, stately pace. There is very little action but much to think about by the book's end.
