Book Description:
As a curious child, Clayton didn't resist the bite-he asked for it. But surviving as a lone child werewolf was more than he could manage-until Jeremy came along and taught him how to straddle the human-werewolf worlds, gave him a home...and introduced him to the Pack. So begins this volume, featuring three of the most intriguing members of the American Pack-a hierarchical founding family where bloodlines mean everything, and each day presents a new, thrilling, and often deadly challenge. For as Clayton grows from a wild child to a clever teen who tests his beloved mentor at every turn, he must learn not only to control his animal instincts, but to navigate Pack politics-including showing his brutal arch nemesis, Malcolm, who the real Alpha is...

Anthology contains: Infusion, Savage, Ascension and a new story narrated by Jeremy.

I had small doubts about this book before I read it. Luckily it turned out really well. It goes into detail about the birth of Jeremy the Alpha werewolf; the infection of Clayton; and their life together before the arrival of Elena.

Clayton's reactions and view of the world made me chuckle many times. I loved the surprise supernatural circumstances surrounding Jeremy's birth & would like to hear more about it in future books.

This was a very good book. The werewolf characters are probably the ones I feel most familiar with in Armstrong's Otherworld. The stories in this book told us a lot more about them, particularly Jeremy, though also Clay, Nick, and Jeremy's father, Malcom. The weakest story was probably the new one, the one that starts to hint at Jeremy's heritage but doesn't give us or the characters any real answers, just a starting place for further research. That being said, it wasn't a bad story at all. All but the new story are available on-line at Armstrong's website. But, I really like having it in book form, and I'm happy to support Armstrong and her chosen charity by purchasing the book.
